Sit n Stitch is a nice quilt shop that handles Bernina
sewing machines, quilting cottons, and lots notions and supplies. They just moved
to a new storefront, just down the street from their old location. They have a good
selection of fabrics, and even some specialty yarns in color-grouped packages to
use for embellishment on your quilts or wearables.
It is right near the Dunkin' Donut store, so you can get
your sugar and coffee "fix" before you head to a class at Sit n Stitch. The classroom
is open and well lit with space for several students. My sister and I were ready to
sit and stitch at the "Sit n Stitch!"
Lois was gracious to have us visit her shop unannounced,
and we had a great time visiting with her and her sister. She mentioned that the
store usually has a yearly Memorial Day sidewalk sale, but because of the recent
move, it was going to be around July 4th. Check with Lois early in 2004 and see
whether she will go back to having the sale over the Memorial Day holiday or the
July 4th holiday.
