Two years ago, my father died. Since one of his favorite things to wear was flannel shirts, we were left with an abundance of worn flannel shirts. I took them and last year made a simple 4 patch quilt (twin size) for my mother. This year I took the pockets that were left and made a wallhanging that we call Papa's Pockets. I had no pattern, just an idea. It is 42 inches wide.

Here are the projects for both years. Mom was thrilled as were my little nieces that will have fun emptying Papa's pockets every year.
