My favorite quilt magazine is Miniature Quilts by Chitra Publications, and this book has 14 all time favorite patterns for every skill level. If you love mini quilts, this book is definitely for you! It is a thin book, but full of great little quilts using both piecing and appliqué.

Some of the blocks are very tiny, but some offer a “Big ‘n Easy” variations for those who want to make a miniature quilt, but not too mini! Try appliqué with the “Baby Butterflies” or “Summer Rubies.” One of my favorite pieced ones is “Log Cabin Postage Stamp Basket” using two different blocks to make this 17 ½” x 26 ¾” quilt. The “Star Spangled Banner” is a unique patriotic flag quilt that can be done in two sizes.

This is a book to enjoy whether you are an experienced quilter or just a beginner. Look for this book at your local quilt shop.
