This is my interpretation of your block of the month alphabet quilt . Each letter is pieced with a fabric that has printed on it an object which starts with the letter represented. The Y and X were the hardest to find so for the Y I placed skeins of yarn on my scanner and then printed the image on fabric. For the X I marked some maps with Xs on some of my favorite places and scanned and printed on fabric for "X marks the spot". I further embellished each letter by outlining them with a snowflake decorative stich. This quilt won a ribbon for Best Juvenile/Baby Quilt at the Keys Quilters Quilt Show in Key Largo, FL.
