Traditional Crazy Quilters: This book is for you! The Magic of Crazy Quilting is a wonderful encyclopedia of knowledge and methods of crazy quilts.
J. Marsha Michler has included a whole library of embroidery stitches to use with clear diagrams on the steps to do them, and also how to use them. The color photos of quilts are very good, plus the close-ups show all of the details very well.
This large book gives you so much information, that you will be referring to it over and over again. It is a “must have” for anyone who wants to do embroidery stitches and/or crazy quilting.
Some of the extras included in the book are a chart of the meaning of flowers, a bibliography of related books, especially the ones the author uses for inspiration, and a sources guide so you will know where to purchase the materials needed to crazy quilt. This is a good book for your personal or guild library. Look for this book at your favorite quilt shop!
