Mary Trimble, from South Carolina is one of our pattern testers. She made this block from some older cotton fabrics a friend gave her. There are three different color combinations, enough to make each petal from a different fabric. She plans to make a quilt with this block using the three color sets, and says this pattern was real easy to make.

A Tip from Mary: Do not turn under the seam allowance on each part of the petal that goes underneath the circle. Then there is less bulk in an area that is covered by another fabric, in this case the center circle.
