Elsie Campbell has presented us with some variations of scrap quilts that are exciting, and she only uses two blocks: Nine Patch blocks & Snowball blocks. These are contained in a small book, but packed with some interesting variations. Some are very intricate looking; like Internet and Twisted Ribbons, but when you look at the directions you can see they are still the same two blocks, but with small variations.

Change the placement of the fabric colors and Elsie shows you even more variations. Elsie was inspired by Sharyn Craig’s Design Challenge, “What if…….” From “Traditional Quiltworks” magazine. She definitely met the challenge.

I truly love scrap quilts and cannot wait to try some of the 11 designs in this book! This reasonably priced book would be a good addition to your personal or guild library. Look for this book at your local quilt shop.
