From the author of “Quick Watercolor Quilts,” “More Quick Watercolor Quilts” and the designer of gridded fusible interfacing comes this new book loaded with 12 projects made with basic units in a very organized and simple method. Fast forward making your quilts by fusing these units to gridded fusible interfacing, and you can cut down your piecing time by 85%.
Each quilt pattern includes directions for various sizes- lap, twin, queen, and sometimes an even smaller wall hanging. Dina has three pages on fabric selection, some general instructions, and then thorough instructions using the gridded fusible method. The interfacing is a non-woven lightweight polyester with lines printed on it much like graph paper. This gives you the guidelines for placing your pieced sections. I have seen this interfacing used for watercolor quilts, but this is a great way to simplifly your piecing and be more accurate in your sewing.
You are sure to have fun making all of these quilts – each quilt uses more traditional blocks, but with an added twist or variation to make the quilts unique. I am anxious to try Dina’s method, but are going to have a hard time deciding on which quilt to make. Add this to your personal or guild library. Look for this book at your favorite quilt shop!
