Talk about a terrific idea! Fast, Fun & Easy Fabric Bowls presents an idea that is quickly catching on in the textile world. Debuting fall 2003 at the Houston Quilt Market, this book is one of the most sought after books in the quilting and sewing world. If you haven’t purchased this book, now is the time, and as Linda says, it is fast, fun and easy! I also think it is addicting...I bet you can’t make just one!

Using Timtex as the filler and stiffening base to keep the bowl’s shape, the bowl is washable and reversible. Using two different fabrics, you can make several different bowl shapes and sizes.

There are so many uses for the bowls. After making one bowl, my sister-in-law decided to make them as favors for mints at her son’s wedding last weekend. I have used them as hostess gifts for my friends and plan to make several as gifts for the holidays. Try putting towels in the bathroom in them, or fruit in the kitchen. Use them in your sewing room, or as just a decoration on a table without anything in it. They are beautiful just standing alone.

How about having a bowl making party? Call your friends who sew and get together and see how many different varieties of bowls you can make in an evening. It would also be a great quilt retreat activity. Call your local quilt shop, I bet they are having a class you can join
