November 2, 2004 (Happy Election Day!)
Well, the wholesale International Quilt Market is closed for 2004. Your local quilt shop owners and managers are on their way home to tell all of you about the new and wonderful products they found here. I visited with a good friend, Veronica Cox, who manufactures The Appliqué Pressing Sheet, something everyone needs whether they do fusible appliqué or not, because there are so many other uses for the pressing sheet. It is a terrific product. You may have seen Veronica at some of the shows around the country.

I met some new friends at Mountain Patchwork, Kathleen Brown and DeLoyce Tyler, who were at their first Quilt Market showing off their new patterns using “The Promise Stitch.” The cute log cabin patterns and embroidery is beautiful and so easy to do. If you like hand work, you will like their patterns.

I went over to the quilt exhibits here and have some photos to let you see how wonderful the quilts are here. Tomorrow is the International Quilt Association Award Ceremony and I will bring you the latest news about the winners Wednesday.
These quilts are just a sample of the special quilts exhibited in Houston.
