Quilt National '03, the thirteenth biennial competition, drew more than 1450 entries by more than 670 artists from 46 states and 23 foreign countries. Among the more notable developments is the increasing number of international artists. There is a growing interest in contemporary quiltmaking in numerous foreign countries. Entries were received from as diverse places as Korea, Spain, Belgium, and South Africa.
