Omnigrid Fabric Scissors Review
By Dori Hawks
Have you seen the scissors with the bright yellow handles? I am definitely
hooked on them! They are sharp, sharp, sharp, and those soft-cushion, fatigue free, yellow handles are
very comfortable! They are stainless steel extra sharp blades, and can be used by right or left-handed
people. Omnigrid has done it again.
I have the scissors in the 4” Needlecraft size for my handwork. They cut my
small pieces of fabric very easily, and the points are sharp enough to cut those pesky little basting stitches
on my English Paper Pieces hexagons. They are even strong and sharp enough to cut rag quilts.
Then, I have been using the 8” Dressmaker Scissors in my general quilting:
comfortable to hold and they cut like butter through the fabric, even through many layers.
The scissors also come in a 6 ½” size called Fabric Scissors. They also
have the yellow grip handles and are very comfortable to hold and cut with.
If you don’t find these at your local quilt shop, ask them to order a set for you.
Give yourself a gift of a wonderful pair of scissors!
