Having a mother who 'did it all' rubbed off on Dorothy. She has always sewn, taught her two girls how to sew, and finished everything they started until they grew up and had familes of their own. She helped make a couple quilts with her mother and grandmother when she was a young woman, but didn't take up quilting seriously until much later in life. She has had considerable influence on the two founders of theQuilterCommunity.com, her daughter and grandson.
