I have been quilting for about 8+ years - mostly self-taught. I am an artist by nature and a quilter by design. The most encouragement and help in quilting came from an online group, of which I am still a member. I have begun designing my own quilts and love the design process.
I am self-retired due to disability - and loved being home to finish raising my 2 daughters, and had several foster children for a few short years. Both daughters have moved out so it is just hubby, 2 dogs, and one cat at home now. We live on a ranch where he works as the herdsman with registered Herefords - so on rare ocassions we have a calf in the house for a few hours warming it up.
I also enjoy painting, crochet, embroidery, making jewelery, ocassional canning, fishing, hunting and reading. Not all at the same time - and quilting has taken over most of the house so don't spend as much time on other things anymore. LOL I am the proverbial city girl turned country - and love every minute of it!
