Background is flip and sew crazy log cabin blocks, the cottage being the first block made, and using green shades for the grass and blue shades for water and sky.  The palm tree leaves and trunk are flip and sew and machine appliqued on top of background.  Made at the Quilters of South Carolina 2001 Fall Retreat at White Oak, SC in a class taught by Mary Harter.  Embellishments were added at a later time by machine applique.
