Ricky Tims, a native of Wichita Falls, TX, now resides in LaVeta in the southwest area of Colorado. He has been quilting since June 1991 and has designed and completed numerous quilts, primarily art quilts, many of which have been exhibited in national shows. Ricky teaches an exciting variety of workshops and is much sought after for his multimedia presentations which combine narrative, slides of quilts, and live music. He maintains an extensive schedule of engagements across America and has completed four speaking tours in England,Ireland,Scotland and Wales. Ricky is passionate about quilting and is delighted to share his experience and enthusiasm with quilters at every level of expertise. Ricky is challenged by creativity in all forms and encourages individuals to cultivate self-expression. Quilting is a relatively new interest compared to Ricky's lifelong passion for music. He began formal music lessons at the age of three. He is a conductor, composer, arranger, music producer, and performing artist. His blend of music and quilting is unique and remarkable. He continues to accept commissions for quilting and music.
