Narcissus, son of Greek god Cephiss rejected the love of Echo who pined
away until nothing was left but the distant echo from her voice. Narcissus'
passion for his own self, coldness of heart, and distance resulted in his
inability to share his life. As a punishment, the gods transformed him into
the flower that still bears his name. This quilt is a slight diversion from
Karen Stone's ULSII pattern.
